BAD A** KILLERS

If you are getting this email then you know you are either crewing or have been cast in Ennix Xiong's feature BAD A** KILLERS. You've probably met me but I'll introduce myself again.

My name is Garrick Lane. I along with Mark and Ennix am helping produce this film.   I will be shooting and cutting it as well with Ennix directing and writing and Mark acting in it so we've got our work cut out for us but that's how we like it. I will speak for all three of us by saying welcome aboard and we're excited to have you.

We will give you the specifics in the coming days, but first thing is first.

We want to lock down the script by doing a full cast read through of the script  we have and get all you guys' and gals' input on dialogue or changes we could make to fit your particular personality.

We were wanting to know how your late (this coming) Sunday  schedule looked to get together and do this? Please let me know as soon as possible. We'll need 3 hours. The script read through usually takes the amount of screen time needed and we'll need time to discuss your input. It should be fun. Snacks and Drinks will be provided as well as a copy of the drafted script we have. You will receive a personal copy of the script once the script is locked down and ready for Production. (2 weeks tops from day of read through.)

We're going to shoot the film over a two week span and I am working extremely hard in scheduling the film as tight as possible to keep us from running over daily and more importantly weekly.

I'll do my best. The last film we did together only ran over 4 hours one day of shooting and a lot of that was due to a change in a key prop last minute so we should be OK.

Ennix and I both agree that the more rehearsal time we do.... The smoother the shoot will be so syncing everybody's schedules for rehearsal time is important so if you can let me know your free times I'll make it as easy as possible on you.

I'll spare your eyes anymore straining on this email and let you know the rest in person.

For now, we need everybody in a room to  read the script and our first date we thought we run by you is Sunday afternoonish anywhere between 3pm and 6pm. 6pm being the latest due to not running too late.

Please let me know. Feel free to contact anytime.

I know this is so "emo" but alot of us are on facebook, twitter and all that other crap so if you guys are on these sites look ME up and I promise you 'll find everybody else. We can communicate through those avenues as well.

We look forward to working with you all and making a great film. To sweeten the deal we do plan on cutting everybody a percentage of profits if the film finds distribution.(On top of your weekly pay.)

See ya in the funny papers,

Garrick Lane

First 20 pages of "Red Plague"

So I've registered the script but while I find myself working elsewhere, I have the "Grindhouse B Horror Movie" script I wrote in 2 weeks for investors I'd like to really get some feedback on.

In Hollywood, the story is no script is read past 20 pages. The readers who refer scripts to the big wigs do so based on how good the first 20 pages are. With that said, I would love some feedback on my thrown together first twenty pages-- Good or Bad. Just remember IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE CAMPY. Anybody that has time please let me know what you think.

The pictures are my Cartoony sketches of what I want the Monsters to "kind of" look like. I know they need to be much more complex but we haven't gotten that far. We're shooting either Ryan or I's version in Utah in 2010.

Scaling Back for the Summer

Dropped all but 3 projects on my plate.

1-Reality Show for Money to feed kids.

2-Bad Ass Killers cause I keep my word

3-Epic Rewrite because I have to do something in the “in between time.”

Just those 3 things (minus my family life) leaves little time for anything else. [I’m not very good when I have too much on my plate.] So it’s full on with Ennix’s Bad Ass Killers . I started a tad weary on the project, but the more that’s accomplished, the more I’m getting excited about it. I had originally told Ennix I would help produce it and do one other thing giving him the option of either having me, D.P it or Edited it but it’s looking now like I’ll be doing both using a very STRONG Camera Assist. But I’m getting ahead of myself. For now I’m watching old films and breaking down the script. [And because I have no money for this production, and can’t afford Gorilla Scheduling Software-- I’m doing it the old school way.]
